Module #3 Announcement to Owners of Council’s Commencement of A&I Planning
Sample Announcement –
“Hello Owners of [Strata Name]
This is to advise that we have received a mandatory Depreciation Report carried out by [ Name of D.R. Provider].
Council now needs to absorb and consider the status of all the strata common property components, and then the treatments, priorities, costs and funding approaches as recommended by the DR.
(Remember that DRs are a guide, essentially a kind of actuarial analysis of building & property components based upon the average expected life / maintenance experience of similar components)
The DR recommendations then have to be considered in light of what current first-hand observations & knowledge pertain from Owners / Councillors. The “lived experience” if you like.
When we have completed this work, under advisement and in consultation with our Strata Manager and other professional expertise (including [DR Provider Name], we will propose a response plan to Owners for adaption & implementation (A&I) into future Contingency Reserve Fund contributions usually sourced from inclusion in Strata Fees.
Until we have completed our consultations, assessments and response plan to this DR, we can’t put it into “public” circulation without receiving authorisations and Copyright clearances from the Author.
We will arrange these as soon as our DR response report is completed, and can accompany the issue of the DR generally.
